David founded OI Research in 2007, which grew to become a leading provider of research-based strategic consulting services in Ireland. OI Research merged with RED C in 2012 and is now part of the RED C Group. David is also a former director of Lansdowne Market Research, part of the Millward Brown group of companies, and has previously worked successfully as a freelance researcher both in Ireland and abroad.
David graduated with honours from Trinity College, Dublin with a BSc. Management Degree, and completed an MPhil (Research) in Dublin Institute of Technology during which time he also lectured in Marketing and Research. He is also a graduate member of the Marketing Institute, the Marketing Society, ESOMAR and a Board member of AIMRO (Association of Irish Market Research Organisations).
David has worked across all key industry sectors including food and drink, public sector, retail, financial services, utilities and telecommunications. He specialises in advanced analytical modelling and techniques – a passion that was developed during his time as services manager with SPSS, the research and analytical software company. David is also an accomplished qualitative researcher, specialising in strategic marketing issues and brand development.
